Machol Miami 2011
Machol Miami 2011 took place for 5 nights and 4 days, starting with a pre-party in the JCC on Thursday, December 22 and ending with a post-party on Monday, December 26.  The event itself took place in the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Hotel between Friday, December 23 and Monday December 26.   It consisted of six workshop given by our guest choreographers from Israel, Dudu Barzilay and Yaron Malihi, as well as teaching of dances choreographed by Mali and Moshe and presented by Peggy.  We had three theme parties, one each evening - Shabbat Chanukah, Saturday Night Fever and Irish Night.  Then we danced through the night in Israeli dance parties.

You are invited to enjoy three clips from the Irish Night show in Machol Miami 2011. The performance included an excellent folk band and a dance group, both consisting mostly of our event participants. A very special highlight was a song sung by Melissa Bibliowicz, whose parents are both Israeli folk dancers. Melissa performed the song Danny Boy to a stunned audience, and her voice sent jitters down our spines. She is definitely destined for Broadway, where she trains to go - but she is only in high school now, which is hard to believe.

I would like to thank all the participants in Machol Miami 2011.  Thank you for bringing your energy and good cheers to the event, and for your help in making it a wonderful celebration of friendship, dance and fun.  I hope to see you with us again in 2012!
